Mount Airy Casino might just be the next biggest thing to happen to Beaver County. The Monroe County-based operator has purchased over 100 acres of land near Pennsylvania Turnpike and Interstate 376 to build a mini-casino entertainment complex, that is expected to open in late 2019. The entertainment complex will be bringing with it hundreds of jobs beginning later in the fourth quarter of this year when construction begins, as well as potentially millions in gambling tax revenue. 3z5r55

The residents of Beaver County have been ive towards the initiative particularly because they expect it to be a game changer that will breathe new life into the economy of the county. Residents are very excited since they have been anticipating the arrival and establishment of an entertainment venue in the region since the mini-casino licenses were auctioned and they sure are in for a treat as Mount Airy will definitely be bringing its A-game.

The property where the mini-casino will be constructed was purchased from Castlebrook Development which is owned by Pat Nardelli, a local developer. The Friedmutter Group which is highly revered for its work at the Las Vegas-based Cosmopolitan resort will be responsible for deg the Mount Airy Pittsburgh Casino Resort. The first phase of the development will include 30 table games, 750 slot machines, a sports bar and a buffet followed by a second phase of development plans that will include a convention center, a full-service resort hotel, a restaurant, pool, spa, salon, and other yet to be specified destination-focused amenities.

“We envision the casino as just the start of building something truly special for the tri-state area,” Lisa DeNaples, owner and managing trustee of Mount Airy Casino Resort, said in a recent release. “Imagine not just a casino, but a destination that raises industry-wide expectations and standards — serving as a phenomenal gathering space for celebrations and live entertainment and bringing upwards of 700 jobs to regional residents.”
