Conley, who has prior federal convictions related to illegal gambling, now faces felony charges. These carry penalties of up to 20 years in prison and a $25,000 fine per offense.
The enforcement sweep stretched across 13 Pennsylvania counties, including Allegheny, Erie, Beaver, Butler, Indiana, and Westmoreland. Dozens of businesses were found to be hosting these unregulated machines. Notable locations included:
