The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board (PGCB) has just published the gaming revenue data for July, which shows a notable rise in comparison to July of the previous year. Only six out of the total 17 operators reported an increase in their income for the previous month. The Hollywood Casino Morgantown only brought in $570,794 in revenue during the month of July last year. The venue’s income hit a record high of $6.62 million in July of this year.
Earnings were up at Valley Forge Casino Resort in the previous month as well. This July, the resort’s revenue was $41.4 million, up from $35.3 million a year before. In a similar vein, Wind Creek Bethlehem’s revenue in July grew to $50 million, representing a nearly 14% rise over the previous month.
Earnings at the Meadows and Penn National Hollywood casinos increased by 6.25 and 4 percent, respectively, to $22 and $55.8 million. Comparatively, Harrah’s Philadelphia had a rise in revenue of less than 1%, to $18.4 million, in July, while Parx Casino saw a drop of over 12%, to $56.4 million.
